At Copy Club we believe in balance & want to help you achieve everything possible from work & life. This is why we’ve introduced a sabbatical policy to make sure that work doesn’t get in the way of the once in a lifetime trip you’ve always dreamt of taking.

How much time can I take off?

If you’ve been with Copy Club for more than two years, but under 3 years, you can take a one-month unpaid sabbatical. This is taken as one full month.

If you’ve been with Copy Club for 3 years or more, you can take a one-month sabbatical. 2 weeks will be paid, and 2 will be unpaid.

You can only take one sabbatical every two years during your time with Copy Club. After one, the clock will reset.

Note, sabbaticals are not an option if you’ve been in the business for less than two years.

For example, if you join in January 2022, you can plan a sabbatical for say February 2024. After that, your next will March 2026.

You are not able to take a sabbatical within one year of parental leave. If a need for parental leave arises within one year of a sabbatical, then The Copy Club reserves the right to deduct the two paid weeks from your pay (EXCLUDING your statutory cover).

What should I do if I'm planning to take a sabbatical?

• If you’d like to request sabbatical leave, we ask that you give your manager at least 6 months’ notice.
• Sabbaticals may not always be granted depending on the needs of the business.

How will sabbatical requests be reviewed?

• We absolutely want to be able to say yes so that will be our default!
• We’ll be keen to ensure that we can work with you to put a good plan in place to support the team around you
• If there have been multiple requests for a similar period, we will treat them in first-come-first-serve order

How do I book it off?

• Once it’s been approved by your line Manager, you can book sabbatical leave off on CharlieHR.

What else do I need to know?

• You will not accrue holidays whilst on sabbatical
• You will not be entitled to any company benefits whilst on sabbatical
